There is a precondition for a manager to be able to carry out all strenuous professional activities in an efficient way and it is high quality psychological and physical readiness and stability. For the most part, unfortunately, working hours of a manager are spent in long static sitting position by the computer, which causes a series of physical problems. The very dynamics of modern operation and way of life demand, and I would add command a necessity  and obligation for a modern manager to for a moderate and regular physical practise.
